Insulin Strength
The strength of insulin will largely depend on what dosage the patient will require. All insulin comes in a form that is dissolved or suspended in liquids which needs to be injected.
The most common used strength in USA is U-100. This means that it has 100 units of insulin per milliliter of fluid. Currently medical records show |
 |
that throughout Europe and Latin America the legal strength is U-40. So if you plan to travel outside the USA , be certain to match your insulin strength with the correct syringe size.
